Established in 1976, Porter Scott Attorneys has moved after 40 years on University Avenue. The firm’s focus on civil litigation sets it apart from other firms. The attorneys handle all aspects of civil litigation, including employment litigation, personal injury defense, business litigation, construction disputes, civil rights, public entity defense and medical malpractice claims, all with superior service and excellent results.

The new location marks the beginning of a new chapter for the firm. It now occupies 29,872 square feet — almost the entire fifth floor — of the Harvard Square building at 2180 Harvard St. Shareholder and Chief Operations Officer David Melton says, “Emerging from the pandemic lockdown and remote work, we decided against the downsizing trend and chose a space that was large enough for our entire firm to come back to the office and also inviting enough for them to want to come back.”

“Designing a collaborative, team-based environment was our number-one priority, as it is the best way to ensure our clients get the highest quality services possible,” says Shareholder and Director of Associate Development Lindsay Goulding.

Enhancing the ability for the firm’s nearly 45 attorneys and 93 total employees to collaborate with each other and serve clients, the space’s appealing and functional dynamics are due to the expertise of Ethan Conrad Properties, one of the area’s largest commercial real estate holders.

“Ethan Conrad and his company have been our partner in this move and were instrumental in helping us achieve our vision” — CARL FESSENDEN Managing Partner

“Ethan Conrad and his company have been our partner in this move and were instrumental in helping us achieve our vision,” says Managing Partner Carl Fessenden. “The people Ethan has working with him are outstanding. They listened to us and transformed the space to ensure our goals were met. We look forward to a long partnership with Ethan Conrad Properties.”

Looking ahead, Porter Scott intends to grow and anticipates expanding into the remaining 2,300 square feet of the Harvard Square building’s fifth floor. As the firm grows beyond that, the building can still accommodate them. “We’re pleased to have created this workspace for Porter Scott,” says Ethan Conrad. “This ideal office will enable them to provide the best client service for years to come.”
