The Sacramento, California-based education institution Highlands Community Charter School has signed a three-year, full-service lease for 16,361 square feet of office space in the city’s Howe Ave/Fulton Ave/Watt Ave. submarket. According to its lease agreement, the school plans to move into the space this spring and welcome students in August, just in time for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Built in 1975, this two-story, Class B office property at 1111 Howe Ave. totals 103,737 square feet. According to marketing materials, the building was recently remodeled and offers convenient access to Highways 80 and 50. Through this new lease, Highlands Community Charter looks to expand its footprint, using its increased space to house lectures and classes.
The property last sold in 2017 , when it was purchased by a private developer for $10 million as part of a two-building portfolio transaction.
